The Child and the Harp
Prologue
The power of the Moon’s gravity dragged up parts of the
oceans and substrates from below the lands as the Moon
descended towards the Earth. Masses of old and new soil,
grass, trees and other types of vegetation started to wobble
and bounce, creating wave formations on the surface, stretching
1/6 around the globe in a mostly uneven pattern.
The vibrations caused by the event shrouded over the planet and
created a shockwave that sounded like giant babies squeaking
from below the crust. The sound orbited the sky and echoed
over the lands.
The cataclysm continued for four nights and four days,
shaking everything rooted on the planet. On the fifth day,
the Moon suddenly stopped its descent towards the Earth.
The Moon loomed over the land with a gloomy sadness.
With its two glowing eyes made of a non-rock material,
the Moon looked furiously confused.
Suspended in midair between the Moon’s and thr Earth’s
gravity, was a long dark strip of solid liquid. The mass,
containing H2O, salt, and other minerals as well as a variety of
marine life, looked more like black, glowing syrup than water
due to its dense mass, preventing most sunlight from
reaching the surface of the Earth.
